Configure Windows-specific behavior for the Root desktop app.

Close to tray

Control what happens when you close the Root window. When enabled, clicking the X button keeps Root running in the system tray instead of fully closing the application. You can access Root again by clicking its icon in the system tray. When disabled, clicking the X button closes Root completely.

1. Select your profile picture in the user tray.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Windows from the left navigation.
4. Toggle Close to tray on or off.
5. Restart Root for the change to take effect.
