Adjust settings that apply only to Root on Windows.

Keep Root running in the tray​

Control what happens when you close the Root window. When turned on, clicking the X button keeps Root running in the system tray instead of fully closing the application. You can access Root again by clicking its icon in the system tray. When turned off, clicking the X button closes Root completely.

  1. Select your profile picture in the user tray.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Windows from the left navigation.
  4. Under When you close the window, turn Keep Root running in the tray on or off.
  5. Restart Root for the change to take effect.
