Language

Choose the language Root uses for its menus, buttons and messages. Language is a desktop setting.

Root is available in:

  • English
  • Deutsch (German)
  • Español (Spanish)
  • Français (French)
  • Italiano (Italian)
  • Polski (Polish)
  • Português (Brasil) (Portuguese, Brazil)
  • Türkçe (Turkish)

By default, Root uses your computer's language. If your computer is set to a language Root doesn't have yet, Root uses English.

Change your language​

  1. Select your profile picture in the user tray.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Language.
  4. Under App language, choose a language from the dropdown.
  5. Select Restart now.

Root restarts in the language you chose. If you'd rather restart later, Root switches language the next time you open it.

To go back to your computer's language, choose Use system language. The dropdown shows which language that is, for example "Currently English".

Your language is saved on this computer only. It doesn't change the language of messages other people send.
