Verify your email

Confirm your email address so you can use everything on your account.

Why verify

Some communities only accept members with a verified email address, so an unverified account can be blocked from joining. Verifying also lets you use the privacy settings that require other people to be verified before they can contact you.

You only need to do this once.

Verify your email

Desktop

1. Select your profile picture in the user tray.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select User profile.
4. Follow the prompt to verify your email address.

Mobile

A Verify email row appears on your Profile tab while your account is unverified. It disappears once you are done.

1. Tap the Profile tab.
2. Tap Verify email. The Verify your account screen opens.
3. Tap Send code. Root emails you a six digit code.
4. Enter the code.
5. Tap Verify.

Root confirms with Account verified successfully.

If the code does not arrive

Check your spam or junk folder first, and make sure the address on your account is the one you expect. See Change your email if it is wrong.

Requesting a new code repeatedly restarts a short waiting period before the next one can send, so ask once and give it a minute.
