Transfer ownership

Hand over ownership of your community to another member.

About ownership transfer

The community owner has full control over the community, including the ability to delete it. Only the current owner can transfer ownership to another member.

When you transfer ownership:

• The new owner gets all owner privileges, including full control and the crown icon
• You become a regular member (unless the new owner assigns you a role)
• The transfer takes effect immediately and cannot be undone by you

Transferring ownership is permanent. You will lose all owner privileges. Only transfer ownership to someone you trust completely.

Transfer ownership

Desktop

1. Right-click the community tab, or select the community image in the sidebar.
2. Select Members.
3. Locate the member to become the new owner.
4. Select the overflow menu (three vertical dots).
5. Select Transfer ownership.
6. Enter your password.
7. Confirm the transfer.

Mobile

1. Tap the community name to open the menu.
2. Members.
3. Locate the member to become the new owner.
4. Tap their avatar.
5. Tap Transfer ownership.
6. Tap Continue.
7. Enter your password.
8. Confirm the transfer.
