What is Sudo?
Sudo is Root's optional subscription. Subscribing unlocks a set of perks and helps fund Root while the platform is being built.
Your perks stay active for as long as your subscription is active. Sudo is as much about supporting Root as it is about the perks themselves.
Perks

| HD streaming | Stream your screen at up to 1440p (2K) and 60fps. You can adjust frame rate (15, 30, or 60 fps) and resolution (720p, 1080p, or 1440p) independently. |
| Sudo supporter badge | A purple badge shown on your profile below your username. Other people see it when they view your profile. |
How Sudo works
- Billing interval: Choose a monthly or yearly plan when you subscribe. Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel.
- Access: Your perks are active for as long as your subscription is active.
- Cancelling: You can cancel at any time. Your perks stay active until the end of the billing period you've already paid for.
- Platform: Subscribing to Sudo, managing your subscription, and using Sudo features currently require Root on desktop.

What your subscription supports
Sudo helps fund Root's development while the platform is being built. Subscribing makes you a supporter, and the supporter badge shows it on your profile. We may add new perks over time, so your Sudo lineup grows as Root does.
