Cores overview
Power up a community you love and unlock benefits for everyone in it.
What is a core?
A core is a community power-up. You assign it to a community to raise that community's level, which unlocks extra benefits for every member, not just for you.
A core belongs to you, not to the community. You choose which community it powers, and you can move it somewhere else later. With Sudo you have one core at a time, and it renews each month while you're subscribed.
How cores work
A community's level is simply the number of cores assigned to it. One core makes it level 1, two cores make it level 2, and so on. Cores from different members all count towards the same total, so a community can reach a higher level when several members each assign one.
Communities can reach level 10. Each level unlocks benefits that stay unlocked while the community holds that many cores:

Every core adds an app or bot slot, so the community can install more apps as it levels up. The other benefits unlock at the level shown and then stay unlocked.
Above level 4, each level currently adds another app or bot slot. More benefits for the higher levels are planned.
Benefits are tied to the community's current level. If cores are removed and the level drops, the benefits for the higher level stop applying. If the community ends up with fewer app or bot slots than it has apps installed, an app is suspended. See Community levels.

Where to manage cores
You assign, move, and unassign cores on desktop. On mobile you can see your cores and where they are assigned, but not change them. The mobile screen shows a Read only · Manage your cores on desktop notice to make that clear.
