Send GIFs

Add animated GIFs to your messages using the built-in Tenor GIF picker.

Desktop

1. Select a text channel from the channel list.
2. Select the GIF button on the right side of the message field to open the picker.
3. Select a GIF using the picker.
4. The GIF picker closes and the GIF appears in the chat.

Mobile

1. Tap a text channel to open it.
2. Tap the message field to focus it.
3. Tap the GIF button in the toolbar to open the GIF picker.
4. Select a GIF using the picker.
5. The GIF picker closes and the GIF appears in the chat.

tip

GIFs are sent immediately when selected. You cannot add a text message alongside a GIF in a single message. To include context, send a separate text message before or after the GIF.
