Send GIFs

Drop animated GIFs into your messages with the built-in Klipy picker.

Desktop

1. Select a text channel from the channel list.
2. Select the Gifs icon on the right side of the message field to open the picker.
3. Select a GIF using the picker.
4. The GIF picker closes and the GIF appears in the chat.

Mobile

1. Tap a text channel to open it.
2. Tap the plus button on the left of the message field.
3. Tap GIFs to open the GIF picker.
4. Tap a GIF to send it.
5. The GIF picker closes and the GIF appears in the chat.

tip

GIFs are sent immediately when selected. You cannot add a text message alongside a GIF in a single message. To include context, send a separate text message before or after the GIF.

Favorite a GIF

Star the GIFs you use most and they are saved to your Favorites for quick reuse.

Desktop

• Hover over a GIF in the picker and select the star to save it to your Favorites.
• You can also star a GIF from a message in the chat.
• Open the Favorites section in the GIF picker to find your starred GIFs.

Mobile

• Press and hold a GIF in the picker to save it to your Favorites. A small star marks the GIFs you have saved. Press and hold a saved GIF to remove it.
• To save a GIF from a message, tap it to open it, then tap the star at the top of the screen. This works for GIFs sent from the GIF picker and for links that end in .gif.
• Tap Favorites in the GIF picker to find your saved GIFs again.

Your Favorites are saved to your account, so they follow you to any device you sign in on.
