Create an account

Create a Root account to join communities and connect with others.

What is a Root account?

A Root user account is your identity on Root. It holds your information like email address, profile picture, password, etc. Everyone needs an active account to use Root.

Create your account

  1. Open the Root app.
  2. Select Register.
  3. Enter your username.
  4. Enter your email address.
  5. Create a password.
  6. Select Register.
Security verification

A Security Verification overlay may appear during registration. This verification usually completes silently in the background. If interactive verification is needed, complete the on-screen challenge to continue. You can select Cancel to dismiss the overlay.

Verify your email address

  • Enables account recovery if you forget your password

If you don't see the verification email, check your spam folder. You can request a new verification email from your account settings.

  1. Click on the link in the banner.
  2. Enter the code to verify your account.
