Favorite communities

Pin the communities you use most to the top of your list.

What are favorites?

A favorite is a community you've marked so it sits in its own section, above the rest of your list. Nothing else changes: you keep the same roles, channels, and notifications. It only affects where the community appears when you go looking for it.

Favorites are useful once you've joined enough communities that the two or three you actually open every day are buried among the others.

How favorites work

Your communities appear in two sections, with your favorites at the top. The section names differ slightly by platform:

DesktopFavorite communitiesYour communities
MobileFavoritesAll Communities

A community appears in one section or the other, never both. The favorites heading only appears once you have at least one favorite, so nothing looks different until you start using them.

Favorite a community

  1. Select the + button in the tab bar to open a new tab.
  2. Find the community under Your communities.
  3. Hover over the community. A star appears in the top-right corner of the card.
  4. Select the star.

The community moves up to Favorite communities.

tip

On desktop, the star only appears while you're hovering over the card, so it's easy to miss. Move your pointer over a community and look at the top-right corner. On mobile, there's no star: press and hold the community instead.

Remove a favorite

  1. Select the + button in the tab bar to open a new tab.
  2. Find the community under Favorite communities.
  3. Select the filled star on the card.

The community moves back down to Your communities.

On desktop, a favorited community's star is filled in and always visible, so you can remove a favorite without hunting for the control. On mobile, press and hold the community and the menu shows Remove from Favorites instead of Add to Favorites.
