Monitor actions

Track changes and activity in your community with the action log.

What is the action log?

The action log is a record of administrative actions taken in your community. It shows who made changes, what was changed, and when. Use it to monitor community activity, investigate issues, or verify that changes were applied correctly.

What the action log tracks

Entry details

Select any log entry to expand it and see:

  • Who: The member who performed the action
  • When: The exact date and time of the action
  • What changed: Before and after values for edits (for example, the old and new role name, or permission changes)

For member events, the log also shows the affected member's username, who sent the invite (for joins), and the reason and expiration (for bans).

For message events, the log shows the channel, message author, and message content.

View the action log

  1. Right-click the community tab, or select the community image in the sidebar.
  2. Select Community settings.
  3. Select Action logs from the left navigation.

Log entries are grouped by date. Scroll down to load older entries.

Select any log entry to open the Action log details panel, which shows the member who performed the action, the timestamp, and additional details about what changed.
