Reset your password

If you've forgotten your Root password, you can reset it from the sign in screen.

Desktop

1. On the sign in screen, select Forgot your username or password?
2. Select Reset password.
3. Enter the email address linked to your Root account.
4. Select Send.

Mobile

1. On the sign in screen, tap Forgot your username or password?
2. Tap Reset password.
3. Enter the email address linked to your Root account.
4. Tap Send.

Security verification

A Security Verification pop up window may appear when you request a password reset. This verification usually completes silently in the background. If interactive verification is needed, complete the on-screen challenge to continue. To close the pop up window, select Cancel on desktop or tap the X on mobile.

We'll email you instructions and a verification code to reset your password. Your new password must be at least 8 characters and include an uppercase letter, lowercase letter, number, and special character. Commonly used passwords are not allowed.
