Group conversations
Have private conversations with multiple people at once.
What is a group conversation?
A group conversation is a direct message with more than one other person. Unlike one-on-one direct messages, group conversations let you chat privately with several people simultaneously. All members can see messages sent to the group, including the full message history.
Who can participate
Group conversations are limited to friends: participants can only add people who are on their friends list. If you want to include someone who isn't a friend, you must send them a friend request first and wait for them to accept.
This is different from one-on-one direct messages, which you can start with anyone you share a community with.
The participants in a group conversation don't have to be part of the same community.
