Sticker Wall can be installed and managed from Root on desktop or mobile, and works on both. On a phone, you create, edit, and place stickers from the Place a sticker button on the wall.

What is Sticker Wall?

Sticker Wall is a community app where members create custom stickers using a built-in drawing editor and place them on a shared canvas. The wall updates live so everyone can see new stickers as they appear. Members react to and comment on placed stickers, turning the wall into a collaborative, visual space for the community.

How it works

Sticker Wall has two main areas: the editor, where you design stickers, and the wall, where placed stickers live. You create a sticker in the editor using shapes, text, freehand drawing, and colors, then drag it onto the wall to place it. Once placed, a sticker becomes permanent and other members can view, react to, and comment on it.

Stickers

A sticker is a custom drawing you create in the editor. Each sticker has a name and a canvas where you combine shapes, text, and freehand paths. You can create as many sticker designs as you like in the editor.

Once you place a sticker on the wall, the design is locked. If you edit a sticker that has already been placed, the app creates a new copy so the original placement stays unchanged.

The wall

The wall is a large shared canvas that displays all placed stickers. You can pan and zoom to explore the wall. Stickers appear at the position where they were dropped and are visible to all community members live. New stickers and comments light up the Sticker Wall channel's unread indicator, so you can see when there's something new.

Placement frequency

Community owners configure how often members can place stickers. The available frequencies are:

Frequency	Description
Unlimited	Place as many stickers as you like. This is the default.
Once per day	One placement per day.
Once per week	One placement per week.
Once per month	One placement per month.
One time only	One placement ever.

Sticker Admins are not subject to placement frequency limits.

Reactions and comments

Every placed sticker has a detail view where members can react and comment. Select a sticker on the wall to open it.

Reactions let you respond with one of five emoji: Like, Love, Fire, Insightful, or Interested. Select a reaction to toggle it on or off.

Comments let you discuss a sticker. You can reply to a comment, but you can't reply to a reply. Comment authors can edit or delete their own comments. Deleting a comment also deletes its replies.

Roles and permissions

Sticker Wall uses two permission groups configured by community owners:

Role	Description
Sticker Admins	Users and roles who can do everything a Sticker Creator can, and also delete any sticker from the wall, delete any comment, and review reports.
Sticker Creators	Users and roles who can create stickers in the editor, place them on the wall, react, and comment.

Members who are not in either group can view the wall and placed stickers but cannot create, place, react, or comment.

Sticker Admins can create and place stickers without also being Sticker Creators.

What admins can do

• Delete any placed sticker from the wall
• Delete any comment
• Review reports from members
• Create, edit, and place stickers, with no placement frequency limit
• React to and comment on stickers

What creators can do

• Create and edit sticker designs in the editor
• Place stickers on the wall (subject to placement frequency)
• React to placed stickers
• Comment on placed stickers
• Edit and delete their own comments
• Report other people's stickers and comments

What other members can do

• View the wall and browse placed stickers
• Open sticker details and read comments
• Report stickers and comments

Create a sticker

Sticker Creators and Sticker Admins design stickers in the built-in editor.

1. Open the sticker editor and select Create sticker. On a phone, tap Place a sticker, then New sticker.
2. Enter a Name for your sticker.
3. Use the toolbar to add elements to the canvas:
   • Shapes: Square, circle, diamond, star, heart, triangle, hexagon, and more.
   • Text: Add text with customizable font, size, and style (bold, italic).
   • Freehand drawing: Draw paths with adjustable color and width.
4. Style and arrange your elements using the side toolbar:
   • Set the Fill color and Stroke color, each with its own opacity slider.
   • Adjust the Stroke width.
   • Resize an element with the Layout panel (width and height), and lock the aspect ratio if you want.
   • Use arrange tools to reorder layers: Bring to front, Bring forward, Send to back, and Send backward.
   • Group or ungroup elements.
   • Flip, duplicate, or delete a selected element.
   • Choose a background shape for the sticker.

Your sticker saves automatically as you work. Use Undo and Redo to step through changes, Clear canvas to start over, or Delete sticker to remove the whole design.

On a phone, the editor fills the screen. More (with Clear canvas and Delete sticker) is in the top bar, along with Place to put the sticker on the wall. Undo and Redo are under the canvas. The phone editor has the same tools, except width and height and grouping.

To edit a sticker later, select its card in your sticker list. On a phone, tap Place a sticker, then the pencil on the sticker's card.

Each sticker design is limited to 256 KB of drawing data. The editor warns you as you get close to the limit. Once you go over it, you can't save the sticker until you delete some strokes.

Place a sticker

Sticker Creators and Sticker Admins place stickers on the wall from their sticker list.

1. Choose the sticker to place:
   • Drag it from your sticker list onto the wall, or open it in the editor and select Place on wall.
   • On a phone, tap Place a sticker, then tap the sticker. It appears in the middle of the view, and you drag it into position with your finger.
2. Use the placement menu to adjust it. You can Flip horizontally, Flip vertically, or Remove sticker placement while placing.
3. Select Finalize placement (checkmark), then Confirm. Once you confirm, the sticker cannot be moved. Only Sticker Admins can remove it from the wall.

The sticker appears on the wall live for all members. Placement may be limited by the community's placement frequency setting.

React to a sticker

Creators and admins can react to any placed sticker.

1. Select a sticker on the wall to open its detail view.
2. Select a reaction emoji: Like, Love, Fire, Insightful, or Interested.

Select the same reaction again to remove it.

Comment on a sticker

Creators and admins can comment on any placed sticker.

1. Select a sticker on the wall to open its detail view.
2. Type your message in the comment field and select Send.

To reply to a comment, select Reply on the comment you want to respond to. To edit a comment, select Edit. To delete a comment, select Delete.

Delete a sticker from the wall

Admins can remove any placed sticker from the wall.

1. Select the sticker on the wall to open its detail view.
2. Select the delete icon .
3. Confirm the deletion.

Deleting a placed sticker removes it from the wall along with all its reactions and comments. This action cannot be undone.

Report a sticker or comment

If a sticker or comment breaks your community's rules, you can report it to the Sticker Admins. Anyone who can see the wall can report, except Sticker Admins, who can delete things themselves.

1. Select the sticker on the wall to open its detail view.
2. To report the sticker, select the Report sticker icon . To report a comment, select Report on the comment.
3. If you want, add a note in Note for Sticker Admins (optional).
4. Select Send report.

You can't report your own sticker or comment, or report something again while your report is still open. Reporting doesn't hide anything: a Sticker Admin decides what happens.

Review reports

When a sticker or comment gets its first report, each Sticker Admin gets a notification. Selecting it opens the wall on that sticker.

1. Select the Reports to review icon . It shows how many stickers and comments are waiting for review, and only appears when there's something to review. On desktop it's at the top left of the wall, and on a phone it's beside the phone controls.
2. Each report shows the sticker (and the comment, if a comment was reported), how many people reported it and when, and any notes with who wrote them.
3. Choose what to do:
   • View opens the sticker on the wall.
   • Dismiss closes the reports and keeps the sticker or comment.
   • Remove deletes the sticker or comment after you confirm with Delete. Removing a sticker also removes its reactions and comments.

If a sticker or comment is deleted any other way, its reports are cleared too.
