Manage members
View your community's member list and manage individual members.
Member list information
The member list in Community settings shows the following for each member:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | The member's display name (colored by their primary role) |
| Avatar | The member's profile picture |
| Roles | Badges showing which roles the member has |
| Owner badge | A crown icon indicates the community owner |
| + button | Opens the role picker to assign roles (requires Manage Roles permission) |
| Options menu | Three dots button for additional actions like kick or ban |
On desktop, the sidebar member list shows a simplified view with the member's avatar, name (colored by primary role), online status indicator, and owner badge for the community owner.
View the member list

- Right-click the community tab, or select the community image in the sidebar.
- Select Community settings.
- Select Members from the left navigation.
You can also view members in the sidebar panel, where they are organized by online status and grouped by role.
- Tap the community name to open the menu.
- Tap Members.
Search for a member
Find a specific member in your community.

- Open Community settings > Members.
- Use the search box at the top of the member list.
- Type the member's name to filter the list.
- Tap the community name to open the menu.
- Tap Members.
- Tap the Search icon (magnifying glass).
- Type the member's name to filter the list.
View a member's profile
See detailed information about a member and take actions.

- Select a member's name or avatar anywhere in the community (member list, message, or voice channel).
- Their profile panel opens, showing:
- Display name and avatar
- Action buttons (Call, Message, Add Friend)
- Roles assigned to them
- Notes (personal notes visible only to you)
- Quick message box
- Tap a member's name or avatar.
- Their profile opens with details and available actions.
Assign roles to a member
Give members roles to grant them additional permissions.

From community settings:
- Open Community settings > Members.
- Find the member you want to modify.
- Select the + button next to their roles.
- Select or deselect roles as needed.
From a member's profile:
- Select the member's name or avatar to open their profile.
- In the Roles section, select the + button.
- Select or deselect roles.
- Tap a member's name or avatar to open their profile.
- Tap Manage roles in the Roles section.
- Toggle the checkboxes to add or remove roles.
Set a member's primary role
The primary role determines the color displayed next to a member's name.

- Open the member's profile.
- In the Roles section, select the role you want to set as primary.
The primary role is indicated with a highlight border around it.
- Open the member's profile.
- Tap Manage roles.
- Long press on the role you want to set as primary.
Remove a member
