Create channels and channel groups

Channels are spaces where members communicate. Channel groups organize related channels under a shared heading. Every channel belongs to a channel group.

Create a channel group

Desktop

1. Right-click on any open area in the channels pane.
2. Select Create channel group.
3. Enter the name.
4. Set custom permissions (optional).
5. Select Create.

Mobile

1. From the Home screen, select the community name.
2. Select Create channel group.
3. Enter the name.
4. Set custom permissions (optional).
5. Select Create.

Create a channel

Desktop

1. Select the + symbol next to a channel group.
2. Enter the name.
3. Select the type.
4. Enter the description (optional).
5. Set custom permissions (optional).
6. Select Create.

Mobile

1. From the Home screen, select the + symbol next to a channel group.
2. Enter the name.
3. Select the type.
4. Enter the description (optional).
5. Set custom permissions (optional).
6. Select Create.
