Customize your profile

Your user account contains your profile information and your preferences. You can customize each of these in your account Settings.

How to change your username

Desktop

1. Select your profile picture in the user tray.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select User profile in the USER SETTINGS of the left-side menu.
4. In the Username text box, enter your new username:
   • Must be unique across Root.
   • Must be between 3-20 characters and may only contain letters, numbers, underscores, and/or periods.
5. Select Save changes.

Mobile

1. Select Profile from the bottom menu.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select User profile.
4. Select Edit profile.
5. In the Username text box, enter your new username:
   • Must be unique across Root.
   • Must be between 3-20 characters and may only contain letters, numbers, underscores, and/or periods.
6. Select Save changes.

How to change your password

Desktop

1. Select your profile picture in the user tray.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select User profile in the USER SETTINGS of the left-side menu.
4. Select Change password.
5. Enter your current password.
6. Enter and confirm your new password.
   • Must be at least eight characters, have at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number, and one special character.
7. Select Save.

Mobile

1. Select Profile from the bottom menu.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select User profile.
4. Select Change password.
5. Enter your current password.
6. Enter your new password.
   • Must be at least eight characters, have at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number, and one special character.
7. Select Save.

How to change your profile picture

Desktop

1. Select your profile picture in the user tray.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select User profile in the USER SETTINGS of the left-side menu.
4. Select your current profile picture to change it (or select the icon on the image to reset to the default image).
5. Use the popup window to select a new image from your local machine.
6. Select Save changes.

Mobile

1. Select Profile from the bottom menu.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select User profile.
4. Select Edit profile.
5. Select your current profile picture to change it (or select the icon on the image to reset to the default image).
6. Select a new image from your device.
7. Select Save changes.

How to select a theme

Desktop

1. Select your profile picture in the user tray.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Theme in the USER SETTINGS of the left-side menu.
4. Select your preferred theme.

Mobile

1. Select Profile from the bottom menu.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Theme.
4. Select your preferred theme.

How to select audio and video devices

Desktop

1. Select your profile picture in the user tray.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Audio and video in the APP SETTINGS of the left-side menu.
4. Select your preferred devices.

Mobile

1. Select Profile from the bottom menu.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Audio and video.
4. Select your preferred devices.
