Connect with your friends

Root maintains a list of the people you've connected with. You have control over the list, you can add new friends, remove existing friends, or block them from contacting you.

Send a friend invitation

Desktop

1. Select your friends area from the user tray.
2. Select the add-friend icon.
3. Enter your friend's username (or partial username) into the search box.
4. Locate the person you're looking for in the list.
5. Select Request to send them a friend invitation.

Mobile

1. Select Friends from the bottom menu.
2. Select the add-friend icon.
3. Enter your friend's username (or partial username) into the search box.
4. Locate the person you're looking for in the list.
5. Select Send request to send them a friend invitation.

Respond to a friend invitation

Desktop

1. Select your notifications area from the user tray.
2. Locate the friend request.
3. Select Accept or Decline to respond to the invitation.

Mobile

1. Select Notifications from the bottom menu.
2. Locate the friend request.
3. Select Accept or Decline to respond to the invitation.
