Discover verified communities

Browse and join verified communities through Root's discovery feature.

What are verified communities?

Verified communities are communities that have been reviewed and approved by Root. The verification badge indicates that the community meets Root's standards for authenticity and quality.

Find and join verified communities

Desktop

1. Open a new tab or navigate to your communities view.
2. Select the Discover communities icon (rocket) next to the Create community button.
3. Browse the list of verified communities.
4. Select a community to view its details.
5. Select Accept Invite to join the community.

Mobile

1. Tap the Home tab in the bottom tab bar.
2. Swipe right from the left edge of the screen, or tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines) to open the community drawer.
3. Select the Discover communities icon (rocket) in the drawer header.
4. Browse the list of verified communities.
5. Select a community to view its details.
6. Select Accept invite to join the community or "Cancel" to return to the community list.

What happens when you join?

When you join a verified community through discovery:

• You receive the Everyone role automatically
• You can see all channels available to the Everyone role
• The community appears in your community list
• You can participate in conversations and voice channels based on your permissions
